A Certified Arborist assesses the right pruning or treatment and the correct time of year to do it, and oversees the crew.   • What is a Certified Arborist?

    A Certified Arborist must pass a multi-phase exam and complete ongoing continuing education covering tree biology, diseases, species characteristics, and safety. This credential is available only through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).

  • What should I ask before hiring any tree service?

    Ask about staff qualifications, how long they’ve been in business, and verify a State Contractors License, Workers’ Compensation that covers tree work over 15 feet, and liability insurance. Also ask whether they belong to professional tree care organizations.
